News from the Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees of the ALSTOM Switzerland Pension Fund/Supplementary Insurance Plan met on 14 June 2012. Here are the latest news:
- Regrettably, the performance in May was once again slightly negative (Pension Fund -1.43%; Supplementary Insurance Plan -1.10%), pushing down the good results achieved in the previous months. The accumulated results amount to 2.69% in the Pension Fund and 2.77% in the Supplementary Insurance Plan.
- The current investment strategy was reviewed in cooperation with the Investment Consultant. Due to the result of this review, the Board of Trustees has decided on a slight modification. Accordingly, a 3% strategic value is now being invested in emerging market bonds (local currency).
- The new 4-year term of the Board of Trustees will commence on 1 January 2013.
The employee representatives have already been elected (subject to any objections). They consist of:

Hans-Jürg Harder (new member)
Christoph Hasler (previous member)
Peter Renz (new member)
Max Pauli and Martin Leeser will leave the Board.
The employer has appointed the following members:

Axel Hoelbe (new member) (representative of the Group)
Daniel Huber (previous member)
Marcel Müller (previous member)
Ferdinand Schulz (previous member)
With Alain Plancherel leaving the Board of Trustees as per 31 August 2012, Axel Hoelbe will already enter into office as per 1 September 2012.
The next meeting of the Board of Trustees will take place on 28 September 2012.
